Eagle Riders play “SANTA” to the Haven Children

The [Fraternal Order of Eagles District 10, Florida,] Eagle Riders are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who have adopted The Haven as their top local charity. They support other local as well as national charities. Their entire Brevard County organization, stretching from Palm Bay to Titusville, boasts 120 members. They are backed by a national organization of like-minded bike enthusiasts, the [Fraternal Order of Eagles, Eagle Riders Group].

The Christmas effort was headed by [Eagle Riders District] VP Larry Green and his wife, Carol. Kim Straehla provided them with a list of each child’s name and the type of gift they requested. Larry, Carol and their group either purchased new toys or other desired items for the children, or had them donated by members of their Aeries. They were thoughtful in considering each child’s wish. The items ranged from a train to stuffed animals to sports hats and other sports memorabilia from the child’s favorite team. In addition, several boxes of miscellaneous toys were added to the load.
